It uses the driver aic78u2. Apparently, WinXP bit can use the aic78u2.
Let me know if you get it working. There’s a lot windiws discussion here to this dilemma concerning Windows 7 and a driver for the Adaptec and I wanted to throw my two cents in just in case someone else finds this in a search for this problem. I should also have said that after I uninstalled it, I added the device as legacy hardware through Device Manager. Good word of mouth goes a long way. I realise that this post is frombut as I’ve just visited this page to download these drivers I thought it would be beneficial for this to be answered for future visitors.
